UNLV's Jean Nidetch Women's Center will sponsor its sixth annual interactive dinner theater event April 10 and 11 to explore the issue of sexual violence.
This year's performance, Hide 'n Seek, Wanna Play?, is an imaginative and daring commentary on sex and dating violence. Written, directed, and performed entirely by UNLV students, the play features original music and dance.
The event will take place in the ballroom of the Moyer Student Union, beginning with a buffet dinner at 5:30 p.m. both nights.
Following the play, representatives of campus and community resource agencies will answer questions from the audience.
The cost for both the dinner and the performance is $5. Tickets are available at the Jean Nidetch Women's Center in the Student Services Complex, Room 255. Ticket request forms are also available by calling 895-4475. Special accommodations for the event require 72-hour notice.
Organizers of the event advise that the program will include adult language and the portrayal of adult situations. They further suggest that the event may not be appropriate for children under the age of 13.
