WHAT: A panel of UNLV political science professors will provide their insight and
expertise on issues related to the 2008 presidential election. The professors will cover a variety of issues from public opinion polls, voting trends and Nevada's role as a battleground state to potential gains or losses for Nevada and political and policy implications of the next U.S. Administration. It will be a question and answer format. The panel includes:
David Damore, Ph.D., American politics, election campaigns
Kenneth Fernandez, Ph.D., public policy, public opinion
Ted Jelen, Ph.D., religion and politics, political behavior
Dennis Pirages, Ph.D., international politics, globalization
Rebecca Wood, Ph.D., public law, comparative judicial behavior
