LAS VEGAS - March 5, 2010 - UNLV Dance presents "Unforgettable" at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 12 and at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 13 in the Judy Bayley Theatre. Tickets are $18 general admission, and $10 for students, seniors, military, and UNLV faculty and staff. Tickets can be purchased at the UNLV Performing Arts Center Box Office or by calling 895-ARTS (2787).
Guest artists for "Unforgettable" include Ernesta Corvino and Christopher Fleming.
Corvino, who hails from New York City, presents a new ballet called Works of Heart. Four paintings by Botticelli, Gainsborough, Rembrandt, and Munch all come to life one-by-one, and then come together for a humorous finale.
Fleming danced solo and principal roles in works by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins and Peter Martins. He also headed a group of soloists and principals from the New York City Ballet, which toured Europe and performed his choreography, as well as that of Balanchine.
