The Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) at UNLV will present its annual Midyear Economic Update conference June 15 at the M Resort Spa Casino.
Economist Stephen Miller, professor and director of CBER, will offer analysis of the local, regional, and national economies and present an economic update for the rest of 2018. In addition, John Restrepo, principal of RCG Economics, will drill down into the commercial real estate sector and present his expectations for the next six months.
The event, moderated by Vegas PBS’ Bruce Spotleson, will begin with a discussion about water issues in Southern Nevada. Dave Johnson, deputy general manager of engineering and operations at Southern Nevada Water Authority and Las Vegas Water District, and Nathan Allen, executive director of WaterStart, will present on innovation, water resource management, and sustainability within the region.

The event is open to the public. Registration is $95 per person through June 8 and $110 beginning June 9. The registration fee includes a copy of the CBER 2018 Midyear Economic Update and continental breakfast.
