UNLV will welcome the newest members to the Class of 2018 during Spring Commencement May 12 at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. inside the Thomas & Mack Center.
More than 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to participate in this spring’s commencement, up slightly from last spring.
- Participants range in age from 16 to 72, and hail from 37 states, the District of Columbia, and 57 foreign countries.
- Approximately 86 percent of graduates are Nevada residents and more than half – 56 percent – are from ethnically diverse backgrounds.
- Since 1964, UNLV has awarded nearly 134,000 degrees - including roughly 99,000 bachelor's, 29,000 master's, 2,100 doctorates, 2,300 juris doctorates, and close to 1,000 doctors of dental medicine.
UNLV President Len Jessup will also honor several graduating students during each ceremony for their outstanding academic and community achievements.
