UNLV invites employers to register now to participate in its 16th annual on-campus Career Day.
The campus-wide event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 1, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year's theme is Preparing for a Diverse Workforce.
Last year's Career Day brought together more than 120 employer participants and 4,000 UNLV students and alumni.
Tables will be set up in Moyer Student Union and Thomas T. Beam Engineering Complex for employer representatives to informally speak with students and alumni regarding future career opportunities and current part-time and professional position openings.
Career Day is well attended by graduating seniors and alumni, but also attracts students early in their college programs. It provides an excellent forum for employers to identify candidates to meet their hiring needs.
Career Day is sponsored by UNLV Career Services, Student Government, and the UNLV Alumni Association. Additional sponsors include Environmental Studies, the Minority Engineering Program and Multicultural Student Affairs.
For registration information, contact Mary Schoenfeld, recruitment coordinator for Career Services, at 895-3928.
