UNLV's radio station, KUNV 91.5 FM, will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a free public reception and open house. The community is invited to meet KUNV's radio personalities, take a tour of the campus' television and radio studios and meet UNLV School of Journalism staff and students.
Community members are also invited to participate in "Two Cents," an audio or video recording on life in Las Vegas that may be used for future KUNV programming.
The Greenspun College of Urban Affairs at UNLV operates KUNV. Students from a wide variety of majors including communications, film, journalism and music work and volunteer at the station as radio announcers, producers, production managers and programming coordinators.
KUNV 91.5 broadcasts a variety of formats including jazz, blues, reggae, folk music, sports, news and public affairs programs. It streams a second student-run channel in HD via www.rebcast.com.
