UNLV welcomes bestselling author and integrative medicine pioneer Deepak Chopra for the latest installment of the Barrick Lecture Series, on Oct. 24.
Chopra has been named by TIME Magazine as “one of the top 100 heroes and icons of the century;” he’s the author of 90 books on integrative medicine and personal transformation – many of them bestsellers – that have been translated into 43 different languages; and he’s the founder of The Chopra Foundation, a non-profit entity for research on well-being and humanitarianism, and Chopra Global, a modern-day health company at the intersection of science and spirituality.
During the event, Chopra will share practical ways to experience transformation and healing and he will guide participants on "how to wake up to new levels of awareness that will ultimately cultivate a clear vision, heal suffering in the mind and body, and help recover who you really are."
The Barrick Lecture Series presents internationally renowned speakers through a generous grant from philanthropist Marjorie Barrick.
