A slide-illustrated lecture on the underwater world will open UNLV's University Forum lecture series this spring.
Patricia Jordan, an underwater photographer, will discuss "Our Underwater World: From Mantas to Manatees" at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 20 in John S. Wright Hall, Room 116.
Jordan will discuss marine animal behavior throughout her slide presentation of images taken in areas ranging from the Caribbean to the South Pacific.
In the next lecture of the series, UNLV art professor Catherine Angel, will present "Demystifying the Creative Process: One Artist's View" on Jan 27. Her slide presentation and reading is set for 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Natural History.
Angel will examine the main elements in the creative process and show how self expression is a process that anyone can learn.
All University Forum lectures are free and open to the public.
The University Forum lecture series is sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts and is underwritten by the UNLV Foundation. For more information on the series, call 895-3401.
