"Get to the Point: Integrating Acupuncture into Western Medicine" is the topic of the May 2 University Forum lecture at UNLV.
Dr. Ted Preibe of The Pain & Rehabilitation Medical Group in Torrance, Calif., will discuss the history of acupuncture and its applications in and integration into Western medical practice. His presentation is intended to clarify some of the myths surrounding acupuncture and to help attendees make informed decisions about their own health care.
His lecture, which is cosponsored by UNLV's Center for Health Promotion, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Natural History.
On May 15, George Frein will present "President John Adams: A Performance Lecture" at 7:30 p.m. in Koch Auditorium in the Classroom Building Complex Frein, professor emeritus at the University of North Dakota, will be in costume and in character as the United States' second president for the presentation. He will discuss Adams' role in the American Revolution and the new government that followed.
Frein's presentation is cosponsored by the Nevada Humanities Committee.
