Gloria Zombro, a 27-year employee of UNLV, recently was selected as the President's Classified Employee of the Year at the university.
Zombro is a management assistant in UNLV's office of news and public information -- a post she has held for 22 years. She received a plaque and $1,000 as part of the honor.
Celine Pankratius of student financial services was the second-place recipient. She received a plaque and $750. Third place went to Charles White of planning and construction services. He received a plaque and $500.
The awards were presented by UNLV President Carol C. Harter at a luncheon last month.
A total of 33 employees were nominated.
