S.C.O.P.E. (Students Conscious of Protecting the Environment), a UNLV environmental organization, is presenting a camp out and training session for university, community college and high school students at Lake Mead Oct. 14 and 15.
The training focuses on how to be an effective organizer. Lobbying skills, media relations, fundraising, and much more will be presented by experienced environmental organizers from the Endangered Species Coalition and the National Wildlife Federation.
The training session, set for all day Oct. 15, will be held at the Lake Mead Marina lodge.
