"The Do's and Don'ts of Safety Incentives" will be the topic of a free seminar on May 4.
The value and effectiveness of safety incentive programs will be discussed at the seminar featuring Ted Boyce, assistant professor of psychology and director of the Center for Behavioral Safety Research at UNR. He also is a faculty associate in the university's department of environmental health and safety.
The seminar will take place 9 a.m. -- noon at Nevada Power Company, 6226 W. Sahara Ave. It is free, but pre-registration is required. To make a reservation or obtain additional information on the seminar, call the Nevada Small Business Development Center at (775) 784-1717.
The event is sponsored by the center's Business Environmental Program, Safety Assistance Service. The Business Environmental Program provides free and confidential assistance to businesses in Nevada with air quality, hazardous waste, and safety services.
