UNLV's Community2Campus office has several scholarships available for nontraditional students who have been out of school for some time.

Nontraditional students include students who are attending college for the first time after many years of full-time employment; are transferring from other institutions; have full-time jobs, taking night classes; or are part-time students, parents, or military veterans.

To be eligible for the scholarships, students must be admitted to UNLV. Scholarships for the 2013-2014 academic year are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 12. Scholarship applications are available on the Community2Campus web site.

Osher Foundation Re-entry Scholarship

The Bernard Osher Foundation Re-entry Scholarship awards up to $2,500 per year for full-time admitted UNLV students pursuing their first bachelor's degree and who have experienced a break of five years or more in their education.

UNLV Foundation Board of Trustees Re-entry Scholarship

The UNLV Foundation Board of Trustees Re-entry Scholarship offers $2,000 scholarships for the fall or spring semester. For students pursuing their first bachelor's degree and have been out of school for five years or more.

Re-entry Friendship Scholarship

The Re-entry Friendship Scholarship, established more than 20 years ago by four Las Vegas women in honor of their friendship, is still funded by donors who give in honor, memory, and celebration of special friends. Awards of up to $1,000 are given for fall or spring semester to undergraduate or graduate students who have been out of school for a minimum of three years.

Community2Campus, within the Division of Educational Outreach, supports nontraditional students in their return back to college. Staff is available to connect students with campus resources including academic advising, credit transfers, tutoring, student groups, and financial aid.
