UNLV officials have received reports of scam artists fraudulently using the university's name to solicit money from the public.

The solicitors, who have been working in Henderson and perhaps in other areas as well, are going door-to-door purporting to sell magazines to enable students to travel overseas.

UNLV does not do any door-to-door solicitations.
