UNLV officials have received reports of scam artists who are using the university's name in their efforts to sell magazines.

The peddlers, who have been working in Green Valley and other southern areas of the Las Vegas valley, have told prospective customers that they are selling the subscriptions for their broadcasting class and that they are trying to earn a trip to London.

UNLV does not participate in magazine subscription sales.
