WHAT: Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority President/CEO Rossi Ralenkotter ('71, M.B.A.) will be honored as the 2008 Outstanding UNLV Alumnus of the Year during the UNLV Alumni Association's annual homecoming dinner

DETAILS:The Alumnus-of-the-Year Award recognizes significant professional and personal achievements, volunteer service to UNLV and the community, and school spirit. A UNLV tradition since 1974, the award is the highest honor the UNLV Alumni Association bestows.
The Alumni Association will also honor long time UNLV supporter and philanthropist Joyce Mack with the Silver State Award, which recognizes outstanding non-alumni for support to UNLV. Mack currently serves on the UNLV Foundation Board of Trustees and is honorary co-chair of the university's Invent the Future Campaign.
Following the dinner, guests can get a "first look" at the Runnin' Rebels during their opening basketball practice at the Thomas & Mack Center.
