Two professors will give poetry readings during University Forum lectures in February.
UNLV English professor Aliki Barnstone will read from her most recent book, Madly in Love, and from her work in progress, Wild With It, on Feb. 9. At the end of the reading, she will answer questions from the audience.
On Feb. 17, Osvaldo Sabino, an English and Spanish professor from Wayne State University, will read from several of his current works in translation. Sabino spent time in concentration camps during the dictatorship of the Argentine military from 1976 to 1983. He is the author of seven books.
Both lectures begin at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Natural History. All University Forum lectures are free and open to the public.
