A statewide teleconference will be hosted by UNLV's Harry Reid Center for Environmental Studies (HRC) from 7-9 p.m. March 27 to give the public an opportunity to access data on radioactive and chemical contamination at the Nevada Test Site (NTS), discuss acceptable risks from NTS contaminants, and understand the assessment of risk from future land uses of the Nevada Test Site.
Participation is possible on the UNLV campus in the Classroom Building Complex, building "B" (center entrance) or on the UNR campus in the Computing Center.
The overall objective of the Nevada Risk Assessment / Management Program being conducted by the HRC is to evaluate risks associated with radioactive and hazardous waste remediation activities in Nevada and to increase public awareness of such risks. The NRAMP working group is open to new members.
