The Nevada Small Business Development Center, as part of its High Technology Crime Awareness and Prevention Seminar Series, will present a workshop on how to "Inventory Your Information Assets" 1-5 p.m. Oct. 6 at the offices of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.
The workshop, led by IBM security consultants, will help businesses determine what company information requires protection and what kind of security is important for the business' use of that information.
Participants will learn how to develop an "information asset profile" and understand what their critical business assets are and the nature and severity of any security risks and exposures to those assets.
Admission is free, but preregistration is required.
The workshop is being produced in conjunction with IBM, Nevada Bell, and the Nevada Attorney General's office.
