Details
The event is free and open to the public. The "energy-water nexus" refers to the interdependence of producing water and energy. Energy requires large volumes of water while water treatment and distribution depends on readily available, low-cost energy.
The roundtable will focus on water issues specific to the U.S.-Mexico and U.S.-Canada borders, including stakeholder-driven solutions for water policies and technologies.
Panelists include researchers and natural resource managers in all three countries.
Preregistration is still open online. For the full program and to register, visit the Digital scholarship@UNLV page.
The Roundtable is co-sponsored by UNLV, Desert Research Institute and the Canadian Consulate of Los Angeles.
