Brian Sanders, long-time producer, engineer, and writer at KNPR-FM in Las Vegas, has joined the staff of UNLV's public radio station, KUNV 91FM, as program manager.
A jazz musician and recording engineer with more than 20 years in the radio business, Sanders produced the long-running "Four Queens Jazz Night from Las Vegas," hosted by Alan Grant and heard on more than 100 public radio stations nationwide.
During some 16 years at KNPR Sanders hosted numerous programs, but was best-known for his jazz programs.
"It's very exciting to be at KUNV and back to my roots -- jazz," Sanders said.
KUNV is the primary jazz station in Southern Nevada, with contemporary and traditional jazz shows mornings, late afternoons, and early evenings, as well as a wide range of other music and public affairs programming.
At KUNV, Sanders will direct and coordinate format, production, music policy and announcing; oversee staff training; and work with the development director on fund-raising campaigns.
