A statewide teleconference to discuss interim findings on risks from Nevada Test Site soil contamination and to provide guidance on how the results will be formally presented this summer will be hosted by UNLV's Harry Reid Center for Environmental Studies on April 24th from 7-9 p.m.
The teleconference is an opportunity for the public to become involved in the process. Participation is possible on the on UNLV campus in the Classroom Building Complex Building B (center entrance) or the University of Nevada, Reno campus in the Computing Center.
The overall objective of the Nevada Risk Assessment/Management Program being conducted by the HRC is to evaluate risks associated with radioactive and hazardous waste remediation activities in Nevada and to increase public awareness of such risks. The NRAMP working group is open to new members.
