After a seven-year hiatus, the school is re-launching the annual awards program that recognizes the state’s top business leaders. Honorees are highly respected individuals who exemplify business achievement and community leadership, and all have contributed significantly to the state’s economic growth and prosperity.
Nominees will be judged on their overall impact on business in Nevada, combined with a high standard of ethics. No more than two people will be inducted into the Nevada Business Hall of Fame in a given year.
The deadline to submit nominations for the upcoming class is 5 p.m. on Aug. 31. Nominations can be submitted by visiting unlv.edu/business/nbhof. A nominating committee composed of business leaders will review the nominees and choose this year’s winners.
“We are excited to reintroduce the Nevada Business Hall of Fame this year,” said Gerry Sanders, dean of Lee Business School. “Recognizing our state’s business pioneers and innovators is important, and we’re proud to play a role in that at Lee Business School.”
The inductees of the Nevada Business Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024 will be honored at a reception next spring. A complete list of past awardees can be found on the Nevada Business Hall of Fame website.
