Economic forecasts for both Southern Nevada and the nation will be presented at the Mid-Year 2003 Economic Outlook Conference, scheduled for June 25 at UNLV. The presentation will be repeated June 26.
Presented by UNLV's Center for Business and Economic Research, the conference is set for 8 a.m. in the UNLV Foundation Building. Registration fees are $65 and will increase to $75 after June 19. The fees include parking in the nearby garage.
Key presenters at the conference will be R. Keith Schwer, director of the center, and Mary Riddel, associate director.
Among the topics to be discussed are the strengths and weaknesses of the national and Southern Nevada economies and the prospects for employment both in Southern Nevada and across the nation.
