Writers Mark Twain and Dylan Thomas will come to life at UNLV when actor/author David Dekker portrays them during a Feb. 8 University Forum lecture series presentation.
Called "Adam and Eve/Dylan and Cat," the presentation is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the Classroom Building Complex, Auditorium A-108. It is free and open to the public.
The evening will begin with Dekker portraying Dylan Thomas. He will use Thomas's poetry, prose, ad libs, and outrageous barroom antics to make this literary figure come to life.
Dekker next will appear as Mark Twain, who will read from his diaries of Adam and Eve, jumping back and forth between two podiums as he alternates between the two characters.
The University Forum lecture series is sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts and underwritten by the UNLV Provost's Office.
