The UNLV Center for Democratic Culture and the William S. Boyd School of Law will sponsor a panel discussion on"Progress of Legal Reforms in Russia," Thursday (Sept. 23), 10:30 a.m., in Room 105 at Boyd School of Law.
The panel will feature five Russian judges and American legal scholars who will discuss recent developments in the RussianFederation. The discussion will be moderated by Lloyd George, U.S. District Court Judge for the District of Nevada, and
Dmitri Shalin, director for the UNLV Center for Democratic Culture.
The visit of the delegation of judges - who head various district and municipal courts in the Russian Federation - is sponsoredby the Open World Program of the American Councils for International Education.
