Brad Eden, who oversees the cataloging section of UNLV's James R. Dickinson Library, has spent years building an extensive collection of books and art about dragons. During his lecture, Eden will share part of his collection with the audience and discuss both the Eastern and Western mythology and history of dragons. In addition, Eden will read short excerpts from different literary works in which dragons are featured characters and will play some audio versions of dragon stories.
The lecture, which is free and open to the public, is set for 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Natural History.
The University Forum lecture series is sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts and is underwritten by the UNLV Foundation. For more information on the series, call 895-3401 or send an E-mail to: forum@nevada.edu.
