UNLV's Greenspun College of Urban Affairs is holding orientation sessions Aug. 24 - 25 to provide opportunities for incoming freshman and transfer students to meet with faculty and learn about degree requirements for majors within the college's six departments and schools.
This is part of a university-wide orientation at UNLV for new students that will take place on campus Aug. 24-26.
The Greenspun College of Urban Affairs sessions will be held at the Classroom Building Complex on the following times and dates:
-- Hank Greenspun School of Communication, 10:30 a.m.- 12:15 p.m. Aug. 24 in Room A-110.
-- Department of counseling, 11:45 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. Aug. 24 in Room A-108.
-- Department of criminal justice, 12:30- 2:15 p.m. Aug. 24 in Room A-106.
-- Department of environmental studies, 10:30 a.m.- 12:15 p.m. Aug. 25 in Room A-112.
-- Department of public and health care administration, 11:45 a.m.- 1:30p.m. Aug. 25 in Room A-108.
-- School of Social Work, 12:30- 2:15 p.m. Aug. 25 in Room A-106.
The college also will hold a reception for new students and faculty from 2:30-4:45 p.m. Aug. 24 in the Green Room at Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall.
"Students new to the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs will benefit greatly from attending this important event where they will learn about the exciting opportunities both the college and university have to offer," said Martha Watson, dean of the college. "The faculty and I look forward to welcoming our new students."
