A free seminar on hazardous waste regulations will be offered to Nevada-based businesses April 24 in Las Vegas.
The seminar will explain the requirements of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), a federal regulation that requires businesses to meet certain compliance standards for hazardous waste management. It will be held from 9 a.m. until noon in the Wengert Room of the Nevada Power Company office, located at 6225 W. Sahara Avenue.
The seminar is sponsored by the Business Environmental Program of the Nevada Small Business Development Center and is funded by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
