The UNLV College of Business is pleased to announce that the following individuals have joined the college's Executive Advisory Board: Larry Carter, market vice president of Auto Nation, Las Vegas; James Medick, CEO of MRC Group; Robert Saxton, senior vice president, CFO, and treasurer of Alliance Gaming; and James Stuart, president and CEO of Centra Properties, LLC.
The college benefits greatly from the experience and expertise of the board members in helping to define and realize the goals of the college, said Richard Flaherty, dean of the college. They serve as consultants on strategies, academic programs, events, and curriculum.
"The College of Business is privileged to have 31 interested and involved business leaders serving on our board," Flaherty said. "This group is our eyes, ears, and voice to the community. They not only guide our vision, but help make it a reality through their involvement."
Through its teaching, research, and service activities, the UNLV College of Business is a critical component of economic development in the region. In addition to serving more than 3,800 undergraduate students in nine majors, the college offers five graduate degrees: master of business administration, executive MBA, master of science in accounting, master of arts in economics, and a newly approved master of science in management information systems.
