A public forum on growth in Southern Nevada and the proposed quarter-cent sales tax is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 12 in the Moyer Student Union at UNLV, Room 201-203.
Sponsored by the UNLV Political Honor Society and the UNLV College Democrats, the forum will feature a panel moderated by political columnist Jon Ralston.
The panel will include Clark County Commissioner Myrna Williams, Assembly Majority Leader Richard Perkins, Dick Wimmer of the Southern Nevada Water District, Billy Vassiliadis of the Nevada Resort Association, Howard Hughes Corp. Senior Vice President Mark Brown, and Kara Kelley, Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce vice president of government affairs.
The discussion will be interactive, and time will be allotted for questions and answers.
