The UNLV Ethnic Student Council will hold an installation and awards banquet on May 1.
The event will take place at 6 p.m. in the Moyer Student Union, Room 201. The council is the umbrella organization for all the various ethnic minority student organizations. It is devoted to making a unified effort to promote human tolerance, understanding, acceptance, and inclusion. Independent students at large who have no affiliation with a specific ethnic student organization, including white students, are welcomed into the council.
The only requirement is the willingness to work toward the advancement of a unified, inclusive campus community that honors human equality.
At the banquet, the newly elected leaders of the various organizations will be recognized. Additionally, student leaders from this year will be honored for their outstanding programming and community-building efforts.
