UNLV's Marjorie Barrick Museum of Natural History is seeking adults willing to volunteer time to guide children through an upcoming art exhibit.
Museum staff will provide training to those who volunteer to serve as tour guides during the exhibition, "Communicating America's Vision: The Nevada Bell Collection." The exhibition includes modern and contemporary art.
Opening day will be Sept. 18. Tours will begin the following day. The exhibition will close Nov. 10.
The only requirements for those applying to serve as docents are an interest in art, an eagerness to learn, and a willingness to share their new knowledge with children. No specific prior training or education is required. Applications can be picked up at the museum's front office.
