The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) in the Division of Educational Outreach at UNLV is hosting a free open house and gala reception to introduce the fall semester of classes for adults ages 50 and older. Adults interested in registering for classes or learning more about OLLI programs are welcome to attend. There are 24 classes being offered this fall in subjects ranging from culture, politics and writing to the appreciation of jazz and Spanish for travelers. Classes begin Sept. 15 and run until Dec. 12.

The OLLI offers intellectually stimulating programs for adults who want to continue their education and meet people with similar interests. There are more than 300 members in the OLLI. Members can take as many classes offered. The courses are presented in study groups that meet one day a week for two hours at the UNLV Paradise campus, 851 E. Tropicana Ave. To enroll in a class, call 702-895-3394 or register online at OLLI. Membership for the OLLI costs $55 for the fall semester and $135 for the 2008-2009 academic year.
