Diversity will be the topic of discussion when a panel of experts convenes at UNLV on Monday (Jan. 25) to take a look at the issue both from a historical perspective and in terms of the future.

Panelists for this event in the Barrick Lecture Series will be author and historian David Halberstam; William Gray III, a former congressman who now is chief executive officer of The College Fund/UNCF; and Linda Chavez, president of the Washington, D.C.-based Center for Equal Opportunity. Carole Simpson, a senior correspondent with ABC news, will serve as moderator.

"Diversity in the Next Millennium: Have We Truly Made Progress? Where Are, or Where Should We Be, Going?" is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall.
