The Black Mountain Institute presents a reading and conversation with National Book Award-winning novelist Joyce Carol Oates. The author of "We Were the Mulvaneys," and "My Sister, My Love," Oates will discuss her novels and will sign books after the event.

Oates is part of this year's thought-provoking lecture series hosted by the Black Mountain Institute's Forum on Contemporary Cultures. Distinguished speakers and writers from across the nation and globe who specialize in literature, politics, social issues and international affairs are scheduled to speak at UNLV this fall.
