"SEX - Violence / Myths - Reality," a play about date rape will be presented at UNLV on March 19.
The evening's events will begin with a dinner at 5:30 p.m. in the ballroom of the Moyer Student Union. The play will follow dinner.
Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the door.
Date rape is one of the most misunderstood acts of criminal violence, according to Conee Spano, director of UNLV's Jean Nidetch Women's Center.
The play asks the question: "The scene is set, the lights are low, passion is high, then your partner says, ` NO!' What would you do?"
The event is sponsored by the women's center, the student health center, campus community development, the Excell program in the College of Continuing Education, campus housing, the resident hall association, the Nevada Area Health and Education Center, the lesbian gay bisexual association, Delta Zeta sorority, and ARAMARK.
