UNLV's Hank Greenspun School of Communication now is accepting applications from students seeking scholarships for the 1998-99 academic year.
Scholarships are available for communication studies majors and pre-majors, as well as students seeking graduate degrees in communication studies. Incoming freshman are eligible for some scholarships.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. March 6.
Among the qualifications are:
-- having a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0.
-- taking at least 12 credits in both fall semester 1998 and spring semester 1999 for undergraduates or nine credits each semester for graduate students. Graduate assistants must take a minimum of six credits.
If sufficient funding is available, students taking 12 credits during only fall semester 1998 will be considered.
