Big Data will allow organizations to take massive amounts of data and harness it to discover solutions that will improve business, such as reducing costs, increasing efficiency and creating better products.
Jeff Jonas, IBM fellow and chief scientist of context computing, is one of the pioneers of big data who spearheaded the design and development of a number of innovative systems, including technology used by the Las Vegas gaming industry. Today, he is working a new generation of context computing that is used by organizations to make better, faster decisions.
Jason Mendenhall, executive vice president of Cloud at Switch, oversees the Switch C.U.B.E. (Cloud Ubiquitous Business Exchange,) which delivers the most comprehensive technology and cloud ecosystem. He also sits on the College of Engineering's advisory board.
