UNLV's Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering will host its annual Senior Design Dinner from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. May 10 at the Cox Pavilion. The event honors the graduating seniors from the departments of mechanical, civil and environmental, and electrical and computer engineering.
The Harriet and Fred Cox Engineering Awards will also be presented to students during the event whose projects took top honors at college's annual senior design competition. Several of the design projects will be on display at the dinner.
The event's keynote speaker will be Bruce Edwards, president, chief executive officer, and director of Powerwave Technologies, a leading supplier of power amplifier products for the wireless communications industry.
Also in attendance will be students from Moore Elementary School 's LEGO Club, who will demonstrate various LEGO designs and judge the dinner guests' LEGO building competition.
