UNLV's fall semester, which begins Aug. 26, will bring to campus hundreds of new students, including the university's first class at the School of Dentistry.
The 76 students at the new UNLV School of Dentistry will begin their studies on the main UNLV campus as the new Shadow Lane campus is being renovated.
UNLV also welcomed the first class of 22 students for the executive master of business administration (EMBA) program, which is designed for mid-career executives. This is the first EMBA program offered by a state of Nevada institution.
Other recently added degree programs include:
-- bachelor of science degree in hotel administration/beverage management.
-- bachelor of science degree in culinary arts management/beverage management.
-- master of science degree in physical education and master of education degree in physical education.
-- master of science degree in management information systems.
-- master of science degree in biochemistry.
-- doctoral degree in educational leadership.
-- doctoral degree in learning and technology.
-- doctoral degree in teacher education.
While instruction officially begins on Aug. 26, students have the opportunity to register for classes through Aug. 30. A late fee will be charged to students registering for classes after Aug. 23.
