"Chicano/American Indian Sunday: A Celebration of Indigenous Cultures" will be held 1-6 p.m. Sept. 1 at the UNLV Amphitheater, located north of the Moyer Student Union.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will use ceremony, dance, drumming, music, discussion, and poetry to celebrate the cultural heritage of the Chicano and American Indian.

It is sponsored by El Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, with assistance from Mexica Eagle Society and the UNLV Native American Student Association.
