A series of free legal education classes will be offered to Nevada families during UNLV Boyd School of Law's annual Community Law Day. The courses will include teaching folks about the intricacies of bankruptcy law, small claims procedures, divorce, paternity custody, guardianship, criminal record sealing, tenants’ rights, and access to tax refunds.

Classes are designed to cover specific areas of law that will help individuals understand court procedures, documentation requirements and changes to laws. Individuals who attend the classes may apply for pro bono assistance. The event is co-sponsored by the UNLV Boyd School of Law, Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, and Nevada Legal Services.
The event is free and open to the public and some courses will be offered in Spanish.

Boyd School of Law, in partnership with Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and Nevada Legal Services, has sponsored legal information classes the last 17 years and has helped more than 50,000 people in the community.
