Former President Bill Clinton's speech at UNLV's Thomas and Mack Center on April 29 is sold out.
Demand for tickets to Clinton's talk, presented as part of the Barbara Greenspun Lecture Series, was very high. The Greenspun lectures are normally held in the 1,800-seat Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall, but organizers expected greater-than-usual interest in this lecture and planned to hold it in the 3,100-seat Cox Pavilion.
When the demand for tickets quickly overwhelmed the Cox Pavilion on Monday morning, the lecture was moved to the Thomas and Mack Center. By mid-afternoon today, the Thomas and Mack Center Ticket Office had given out enough tickets to fill the room when it is set up in a theater configuration. Ultimately, 6,500 free tickets were distributed.
Mr. Clinton's talk is set for 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 29.
