The UNLV Association of Students in Communication (ASC) is offering scholarships to full-time students for the 1998-99 academic year.
Applicants must be participating ASC members and must maintain an overall grade point average of 2.75 or higher while majoring, premajoring, or doing graduate work in communication studies or marketing. In addition, undergraduate applicants are required to register for 12 or more credits each semester during the 1998-99 academic year; graduate applicants are required to register for nine or more credits each semester during the same period.
All qualified students are encouraged to apply. Application forms are available in UNLV's Flora Dugan Humanities Building, Room 452. Current transcripts must be submitted with applications. Students must also submit written statements describing their academic and professional goals, as well as their involvement in ASC and/or Women In Communication.
All completed applications are due to communication studies professor Erika Engstrom in the Hank Greenspun School of Communication (FDH 452) by March 16.
