Al-Anon, a group designed to help families and friends of alcoholics, has begun holding meetings at UNLV.
The group meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from noon until 1 p.m. in the Student Services Building, Room 254-C. The meetings are free and open to the public.
Al-Anon views alcoholism as a family illness and believes changed attitudes can aid recovery.
For additional information on the meetings at UNLV, call Arlene Maurer, UNLV coordinator of substance abuse prevention, at 895-3627.
