A seminar titled "Do You Need an Air Permit?", scheduled for July 21, is being presented to help Nevada businesses determine the effects they have on the environment.
Free to all businesses located within Nevada, the seminar will be held at various locations around the state, including Winnemucca, Elko, Carson City, Reno, and Las Vegas. The Las Vegas seminar will take place at the Tropicana Hotel, in the Island Tower, 9 a.m. to noon.
Workshop topics will include an overview of regulatory agencies, information on air quality permits, basics about air pollution, learning to calculate a business' air emissions Potential to Emit (PTEs), compliance with regulations and permit maintenance.
The seminar is being sponsored by the Business Environmental Program, a program directed by UNLV's Nevada Small Business Development Center (NSBDC).
