Approximately 1,000 students and 40 faculty members will be recognized for their academic achievements during the 1998 UNLV Honors Convocation, to be held at 10 a.m. April 28 in the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall.

The awards ceremony is expected to last about an hour and a half and will include an address by Martha Watson, dean of UNLV's Greenspun College of Urban Affairs. A reception honoring student and faculty award recipients, their families, and scholarship donors will be held immediately after the convocation in the Performing Arts Center courtyard, just outside the concert hall.
