The 1998 Annual Economic Outlook Conference, hosted by UNLV's Center for Business and Economic Research is set for Dec. 18 in the Marjorie Barrick Auditorium at UNLV.
Because of the business community's increased interest for this conference, arrangements have been made to expand the conference to two sessions: a morning session and an afternoon session. Please call 895-3191 for reservations and information.
The spotlight for this conference will shine on the Southern Nevada Economic Outlook and a forecast for the entire U.S. This presentation will be enhanced with the latest information from both the local and national "Economic and Sentiment Indicator" surveys.
Major subjects such as the Consumer Price Index, gross domestic product, business and residential construction activity, retail sales, automobile sales, and employment activity will be covered as observed from the latest available studies.
The conference will be under the leadership of Dr. R. Keith Schwer, director of the center, and Robert Potts, senior research associate at the center.
